PandemicStop-AI holds its 1st Annual General Meeting

Our first Annual General Meeting (AGM) took place on October 20–21, 2025, at Mila, the Quebec AI Institute, and brought together more than 80 participants from academia, industry, and government.

Over two days, attendees shared updates on research led by our principal investigators, explored new ideas during a lively poster session, and connected informally at a networking 5 à 7. The program also featured a keynote talk by Dr. Mark Blaskovich (Detect and destroy: Collaborative approaches to combat AMR), short presentations by Dao Nguyen (From microbiology and pathogenesis research to AMR innovations), Mike Tyers (A high-throughput platform for ML-based discovery of novel antimicrobialpeptides), and Michal Koziarski (Navigating molecular space with synthesizability-aware generative models), and a panel discussion with industry partners on how to turn drug discovery research into market-ready innovations.

The AGM was a great opportunity to celebrate the consortium’s first year, strengthen collaborations, and look ahead to the work to come!
